The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is a national-level management entrance test conducted by Xavier School of Management (XLRI) on behalf of XAMI (Xavier Association of Management Institutes). XAT is used for admission to MBA and PGDM programs at XLRI and over 150 other B-schools in India.
Here are some details about XAT 2025:
Exam Date: XAT 2025 is usually conducted in January. However, the exact date should be confirmed closer to the event.
Mode of Examination: Online (computer-based test).
Duration: 3 hours, divided into two sections with a break.
Syllabus:
Verbal and Logical Ability
Decision Making
Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
General Knowledge
Essay Writing (included in the second section after the first part)
Eligibility:
A recognized Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in any discipline.
Final year students can also apply, provided they complete their degree before the admission process starts.
Key Sections and Pattern:
1. Verbal & Logical Ability (VA & LR): Reading comprehension, critical reasoning, grammar, etc.
2. Decision Making: Caselets, ethical dilemmas, and management-related decisions.
3. Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QA & DI): Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation, etc.
4. General Knowledge (GK): Questions on current affairs, business, politics, etc.
5. Essay Writing: Usually a topic on social, economic, or general issues to assess analytical and writing skills.
Application Process:
Registration: Online through the official XAT website.
Application Fees: Typically around INR 2,000, with additional fees for XLRI program selection.
