Uttar Pradesh State Open School Board-UPSOSB

The Uttar Pradesh State Open School Board (UPSOSB) is an autonomous institution established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2008 under The Uttar Pradesh State Open School Board Act, 2008 (U.P Act No. 27 of 2008). Headquartered in Prayagraj, UPSOSB aims to provide quality education up to the secondary level, especially targeting educationally disadvantaged students, including girls and children from weaker sections of society.

Mission and Objectives

UPSOSB serves as a bridge between the government and rural or marginalized communities, striving to:

• Rapidly enhance educational outreach in rural areas.
• Support students from SC/ST/OBC/General categories, school dropouts, over-aged individuals, and other marginalized groups.
• Promote the upliftment of disadvantaged groups and women, irrespective of caste, creed, color, religion, or language.
• Eradicate poverty and illiteracy, fostering self-reliance through social, cultural, health, educational, and economic advancements.

Educational Programs
